Foundations of our Faith in Jesus Christ
-
The Bible teaches God created all life (Genesis 1:1). Everything in His Word (the Bible) is from Him and not of human origin (2 Peter 1:20-21). God has revealed Himself to us as the Father (Ephesians 4:6), the Son (1 John 5:20), and the Holy Spirit (John 16:12-15).
-
While all people were created sinless, the Bible teaches us that mankind fell when Adam sinned in the Garden of Eden (Genesis 3:6-7). Unfortunately, the punishment for sin is death, which God promised would happen if Adam ever broke His commands (Genesis 2:15-17). Now, because of Adam’s sin, all of humanity faces sin and death (Romans 5:12).
-
But fear not! God provided a solution to the problems of fear and death, His Son, Jesus Christ the Lord! God sent His only Son to die for the sins of the world (John 3:16), so that people like us could be forgiven of our sins (Ephesians 1:7), and have eternal life with God forever!
-
While we struggle with sin on Earth, God has promised that we will one day be completely free from sin (1 John 3:2). We trust Him when He tells us Jesus will return one day to permanently destroy death forever (Revelation 20:14). From there on, we will live forever with Him in a perfect, sinless, deathless world (Revelation 21:4)!

Because of what Jesus has done for us all, it is our goal to now live for building each other up (Hebrews 10:24). Jesus gave His life for our sins, and that act of love pushes us to love each other just as much (Philippians 2:3-5).
